What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is a modern and integrated system of self-defence, fighting & combat, VIP & third party protection system that's effective, practical and realistic. It’s a constantly evolving system of techniques and tactics for avoiding, preventing and handling all types of violent confrontations - from bare hands to knives, sticks and firearms. It’s a system adopted by military, law enforcement and security agencies worldwide.
Why is this important for SVs?
In today’s world, self-defense is an important skill to learn. Beyond building competency in staying safe, learning any martial art helps improve your confidence, fitness and awareness. It isn’t about looking for a fight but sometimes the fight comes looking for you. This is especially true if you wear the uniform and have to engage with the public - an aggressor doesn't make the distinction between vocations, who is qualified CCT or not, and so on - they just see the uniform.
