Pre-Deployment Check
Getting ready to deploy? You should all know this because you went to Basic Training but if you deploy infrequently or need some help, here is a helpful guide. You should refer to:

Pre-Deployment Checklist
| Check | Be Competent Check |

| Admin Instructions (AI) | Make sure you have received the Admin Instructions (sometimes called Course Joining Instructions). Contact SAFVC HQ if not received at least 3 days prior to deployment. |
| Attire | Check what the attire requirements are. Notably - Long 4s or Smart 4s? Inner shirts permitted? Headress? Check our Uniform check guides - https://www.svxsv.com/xsv/handbook-content/the-saf-no4-uniform |
| Equipment | Check what equipment you need for deployment and ensure it is working. Ask if you need to bring things that make sense and that aren't in the AI. E.g. torches are super useful for ASTs. |
| Driving | Make sure your deployment allows you to drive and park at the location. If so, check whether you need to be whitlelisted. |
| Meals | If you have special dietary requirements, flag it up to the ICs. |
| ICs | Who are the ICs for the deployment. Identify the ICs from the Sponsoring HQ and from the SAFVC. |
| Meeting Point | Make sure you know where the meeting point is. |
| SAF100V | Make sure you have received your SAF100V and informed your employer. |
| Reporting Time | Reporting times are sometimes different in the SAF100V and what the deploying force needs. Confirm the reporting time. |
| Punctuality | Don't be late. You may need to clear security which takes time. Remember on time is late, 15 minutes earlier is best so you can square away your attire. |
| Hair | Make sure your hair is not dyed or that you use wash-out dye to make it black. Moustaches to be trimmed properly. |
| Core Values | Familiarise yourself with the 8 SAF Core Values. It provides a framework on how to conduct yourself properly during deployment. |
| Ranks | You shouldn't need to but if you've not seen a rank in ages, differentiate between the enlistees, wospecs and officers. |
